Airgas provides high-quality liquid cylinders for cryogenic storage of liquid gases, including argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen.
Airgas supplies liquid cylinders, cryogenic tanks and even dewars with various volume capacities to safely contain liquid gas such as argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen. These liquid gases must be stored at extremely low temperatures to maintain an ideal liquid state and pressure.
What are your challenges?
Our liquid gas cylinders are responsible for protecting gas quality and stability, from fill through to your point of use. We offer liquid gas in cylinders that can meet the following accreditations — ask your Airgas representative for more information on other available certifications.

Derek Camp, Director of Engineering
“Most often, liquid cylinders are used to provide gaseous delivery in a smaller container by storing a liquid and vaporizing within the container to provide the intended gas pressure. Additionally, liquid cylinders can supply product in their liquid state. In many cases, customers utilizing high-pressure gases can graduate from liquid cylinders to MicroBulk or bulk-supplied products. Liquid cylinders allow for less cylinder change-outs on conventional cylinder and manifold configurations.”

Liquid Gas Cylinders and Helium Containers
The safety of your team is first and foremost. Our cylinder sizes, materials of construction and valve types are determined by regulatory guidelines set by CGA (Compressed Gas Association) and DOT (Department of Transportation), to name a few. With over 12 million gas cylinders in service, Airgas draws on more than 120 years of experience to determine which gases can be safely contained and transported in which type of cylinders. The safe handling of compressed cylinders requires training and expertise — download our three-part eBook series to get basic safety information for compressed gas types, plus usage, storage and handling.
