Lincoln Electric® Metalshield® MC-6 Gas Shielded Metal Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045" Dia offers high arc performance in fast follow, high travel speed applications requiring minimal amounts of spatter and it tolerates moderate amounts of surface contaminants. Mild steel wire is ideal for welding in all positions and is welded with 75 - 95% argon/balance CO2 shielding gas. The wire features H4 diffusible hydrogen level and provides optimal wetting action even at low voltages. Deoxidizing arc action reduces pre-weld work. It can be used with Rapid-Arc® Waveform Control Technology®. Areas of application include robotics/hard automation, automotive, structural fabrication, process piping and pressure vessels as well as general fabrication. It is charpy V-notch impact toughness tested to -40 deg C. Wire is associated with E70C-6M H4 class of wires and comes in a steel spool of 33 lb.
