Lincoln Electric® Outershield® 71 Elite Gas Shielded Flux Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045" Dia is ideal for welding with either 100% CO2 or 75 - 82% argon/balance CO2 shielding gases. Tubular wire is of premium quality as it has a smooth arc transfer, low spatter and good bead appearance. Out-of-position welding is very simple with the electrode's fast freezing slag system. Small ball transfer gives a well directed arc helping workers to achieve a perfect welding. Shipbuilding, barges and offshore platforms are some of the applications where this wire can be used. Wire also finds applications in heavy equipments, structural fabrication and general fabrication. Wire meets AWS D1.8 seismic lot waiver requirements. It comes in a 33 lb steel spool. Wire conforms to AWS A5.20/A5.20M: 2005 and ASME SFA-A5.20: E71T-1C H8, E71T-9C H8, E71T-1M H8, E71T-9M H8, FEMA 353, AWS D1.8.
